Hollis Cavner serves as Pro Links Sports CEO and offers a full range of services focused on PGA tournaments and corporate golf events. Over the years, his company has coordinated a number of major tour events, including the 3M Championship and the Insperity Invitational. Among Hollis Cavner’s successful undertakings as tournament director was a unique charitable event that brought more than 20 well known PGA TOUR members to the Floridian National Golf Club in 2013.

The Palm City pro-am event was held to raise funds for Devon Quigley, Champions Tour member Dana Quigley’s son, who sustained serious injuries in a 2011 automobile accident. Two years later he was still undergoing rehabilitation, with medical expenses accumulating, when a conversation between Dana Quigley and Jim Colbert at the 3M Championship hit upon the possibility of a charitable event.

The result was an invitation-only event that was limited to players who had achieved victory in a major PGA TOUR championship. Among the participants were nine players inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame, including Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, and Lee Trevino. Encompassing a Barbara and Jack Nicklaus-hosted dinner, the Devo Strong Pro-Am was a resounding success that raised more than $1 million toward Devon’s medical expenses.
